A Path to Discovery: Your Next Steps on the UCOH Journey
Led by Mary Bolen, Licensed Unity Teacher and Director of New Member Development.
A series of five consecutive Sunday classes, offered twice a year, from 9:30 to 10:55 a.m., to enhance your understanding of Unity and Unity Church of the Hills.
Small discussion groups are formed during these classes that will bring about lasting spiritual connections and friendships.
Upon completion of these classes, certificates and distinctive ribbons of recognition are awarded as well as a banquet in your honor.
These classes are required for membership at Unity Church of the Hills, and recommended for those members who would like a deeper understanding of Unity Principles and Unity Church of the Hills.
Week #1
Welcome Home: A time of introductions, questions, and discussion. Just as there are principles of nature that govern our physical existence, there are also Spiritual Principles that are immutable and unchanging. When we discover these principles and practice them in our lives we awaken to an entirely different way of living.
Principle #1: In this first week of discovery we will begin with Principle number one of Unity’s Five Spiritual Principles.
Week #2
The Beginnings of the Unity Movement: Our journey continues as we take a look back at how it all began. The Discovery of how these beginning stories relate and ring true in the founding of UCOH.
20 Questions and Answers about Unity: The top twenty questions frequently asked and more.
Principle #2: Principle number two will be presented. Small groups will be formed for discussions and lasting connections.
Week #3
What makes Unity Church of the Hills so dynamic? The major UCOH Teams and their functions will be presented as well as a discussion of UCOH’s organizational structure. We will become familiar with our Mission Statement and the Vision of our Ministry.
Principle #3: Unity’s third Spiritual Principle, what does it mean and how do I integrate it?
Week #4
Prosperity, Wholeness, Prayer and Healing: An introduction to our Chaplain Program, our Prayer Ministry, and the opportunities available for continuing your path of Spiritual Discovery.
Principle #4: Prayer and Meditation - Unity’s fourth Principle.
Week #5
You and UCOH: This final class will be about you. What is your magical gift that you have come to share?
Supportive ways to discover what makes your heart sing and the light you shine on this ongoing path
of Unity.
Membership: Membership forms will be completed and our Membership Celebrations discussed.
Principle #5: Unity’s fifth Spiritual Principle – practicing what we have learned together.
