We have activated our Prayer Team with the specific prayer that you will find in this email. On Sunday in both services, we will receive a special offering to directly benefit our Haitian sisters and brothers through the Mercy Corps. Our International Outreach Team Leader, Maggie Miller has researched both of these donation channels and they exceed the standards that we desire with 93% or more of the funds given going to program services. We will continue to pray and be sensitive to Spirit’s guidance as to our role in bringing loving support to these dear ones. A Prayer for the Haitians Let us hold our brothers and sisters in Haiti and all others who are affected by this event, in God’s Light now. As we hold this Light for them, we remember that God’s Presence is everywhere, even in the appearance of chaos and upheaval. Together, we focus our attention now on God’s comfort surrounding and infusing those who have passed into the Light, and for their families and loved ones who remain behind. We declare that even though we see and hear about “disaster” in Haiti, the Truth is that God’s work is present. God’s loving comfort surrounds and indwells those who are mourning, and those who have passed. God’s perfect healing restores those who are injured. We affirm that God’s unconditional love fills and activates helpers and rescue workers from around the world to assist in the recovery and aid of all affected. Amen. UPDATE Dear Unity Family, On Sunday, January 17 you gave $8,649.42 to Haiti. Thank you! Standing in Spirit, we marshalled the power of Love and sent it to all those affected by the Earthquake in Haiti. Through the Ministry of the Mind, we spoke the Word of Peace, Healing, Safety, Support and Restoration. To date, through your generosity, we have sent donations to the Save the Children, Mercy Corps and Partners in Health. As funds continue to come in, we will prayerfully disburse them.
