Spiritual Education and Enrichment Week, 2015

February 9 through the 13, 2015

The Christ (Formerly known as “The Christ in the Bible”) 10:00 am

Instructor:  Mary Bolen, LUT

Using the Bible as our primary text, we will explore the Christ idea as it relates to Jesus and all humankind. We will attempt to discover: what the Christ idea is, where it came from, what it meant to the people of Jesus’ time, and how the Christ idea evolved during the period when the books of the New Testament were being written.  You may come to this class with well-developed ideas about both Jesus and the Christ, but hopefully, you will be willing to re-examine those ideas as we engage in readings and discussions during class.

Myrtle/Charles Healing & Wholeness I 5:00 pm

Instructor: Penny Seay, LUT

This course is based on the spiritual laws and universal principles that support the expression of health and wholeness in our minds, bodies, and affairs. We will be working with Myrtle and Charles Fillmore’s interpretation of how Jesus used and demonstrated those in his own life. Such laws and principles will be presented to support participants in developing a practical understanding of Myrtle and Charles’ theology as heart-centered metaphysicians. It is our expectation that through the development of such practical understanding, participants will be inspired to also become heart-centered metaphysicians. They will create and develop a “tool kit” for using healing principles in their daily lives and in supporting other people in their own healing process.

Required Text:  How to Let God Help You by Myrtle Fillmore; Myrtle Fillmore’s Healing Letters; Christian Healing by Charles Fillmore.  All available in the bookstore.
