Every holiday season, we honor the spirit of giving through our annual Blessing Tree. On a special tree in the foyer, there are angel cards for several organizations that we are supporting this year. The organizations are Families in Transition, Family Eldercare, Foster Village and Unity Church of the Hills benevolence fund.
Online Donations: We recognize that not everyone is able to come by the church to pick up a card. You can participate from home by making a donation here: https://unityhills.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/640275. We’ll use the funds received to purchase gift cards for the various organizations and ensure they receive their holiday cheer in time.
In addition, Foster Village has a wish list with additional items that can be purchased through Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3FI08WJFHY8H8/.
Finally, Families in Transition is currently in need of 26 blankets for the youths and their families that they support in the Round Rock ISD. Blankets can be dropped off at the church office or delivered to our office at 9905 Anderson Mill Road, Austin, TX 78750.
Leave a Blessing: In our church foyer we have a second Blessing tree where you can leave special blessings, affirmations and prayers on “cards” created by Lucille Sorensen. Stop by the tree to leave your blessing today. If you are unable to come by the church, email your blessings, affirmations and prayers to email@example.com and we will hang the blessing for you. The foyer, office and Bookstore are open Tuesday through Friday 9am-5pm.
Giving & Receiving Christmas Cheer
We all know how challenging the holidays can be for those experiencing financial difficulties. This year may bring added challenges for those affected by the pandemic. We at Unity Church of the Hills want to help spread some holiday cheer by offering our loving support to members of our own Church family as well as those in the community at large.
