Minister Search Update From The Board
Thank you all for your participation in this process so far!
Thank you search team, staff, team leaders, hospitality, volunteers, and the entire congregation for attending and making the candidate weekend visits and Zoom workshops a big success. We had a very good turnout for all the events.
Surveys
This is the key way that the board is receiving input from the congregation
The surveys are now closed. Thank you for your input.
The process going forward
Rev. Rick has taken another position; we wish him well and we are fortunate to have two excellent candidates in Rev. David and Rev. Anne
Board has multiple meetings over the next two weeks
We will consider all of the factors and all of the input from the various teams
After we select the minister, we'll start a process of reaching agreement on a contract that works for both parties. This is a collaborative effort that ensures we all understand the expectations and are well aligned.
There is no set timeline, but roughly speaking, it will take a few weeks for the minister selection and a few more weeks for finalizing a contract, at which point we plan to announce our new minister!
Both of our candidates are serving existing churches and live out of state, so it will likely take them a few months after things are finalized to wrap things up at their current church and make the move to Austin.
