Welcome to a New Beginning
Whether you’re a long time Unity Church of the Hills congregant, or exploring our spiritual community for the first time, you are here at an exciting, pivotal point in our history. After more than 25 years as a vital, New Thought community, we are literally at a new beginning, and we welcome you to join us on the exciting journey ahead of us. A journey that promises to be filled with creative possibility, dynamic transformation, and positively abundant vibrations of love and acceptance.
If you want to be a part of a community that celebrates life, serves truth and empowers people to positively transform their lives, then you are home. Not only do we celebrate life at Unity Church of the Hills, we also celebrate you, exactly as you are. Regardless of your previous spiritual experience, gender, race, or sexual orientation, we welcome you. And, we invite you to put on your dancing shoes and join us on life’s dance floor to celebrate our New Beginning.
So, what is this new beginning all about?
Community & Belonging…YES
As a vital spiritual community with over 25-years of history already behind us, we’ve reached a brand new beginning, an exciting tipping point in our ongoing transformation. We have called in a new Senior Minister who is passionate about unity, wholeness and repairing the divisions seemingly present in our world at this critical time in history. She brings with her a credo that includes accepting every person as a divine human being, worthy of love and respect. No exceptions!
To celebrate her arrival and to mark our new beginning together, on Sunday, June 6th, we are proud and excited to formally install Rev. Sheree Taylor-Jones as our new Senior Minister. And, YOU are invited to join the celebration.
On this auspicious occasion, we are blessed to be joined by Rev. Dr. Martha Creek, who will not only be giving the Sunday message, but will also facilitate Rev. Sheree’s Installation Ceremony. Then, to more appropriately celebrate Rev. Sheree’s arrival and installation, later that evening, we are throwing a party. But, not just any old party. We are throwing a blow-out, summer formal gala with all the trappings. This will be a once in a lifetime opportunity to celebrate our new beginning, AND will also make up for all the parties we’ve missed over the past 18+ months (including our own 25th Anniversary Celebration)!
PLEASE NOTE: As of Friday, June 4th at 1pm, we have reached capacity for attendance to the Gala. If you wish to RSVP for the Waiting List, or perhaps cancel your prior reservations because you can no longer attend, please RSVP For Waiting List or Cancel Reservations.
So, mark your calendars and make your plans right now to join us for this amazing New Beginnings Celebration. You will not want to miss this momentous occasion.
As a reminder, UCOH will be fully open by June 6, so there is no need to RSVP in advance. Masks are optional for those who have been vaccinated, and while safe physical distancing practices are encouraged, they will no longer be required.
Sunday Message for June 6, 2021
“Resilience Through Faith, Grit and Courage”
Presented by: Rev. Dr. Martha Creek
Since the creation of time, humanity has found a way to innovate, create, solve, grow, improve and expand. All of this growth and evolution was accomplished even in the presence of great loss, despair, destruction, adversity, trauma and oppression. Together, we stand on the strong shoulders of the pioneers who came before us. Now, the time has come for us to to step up and do our part to fortify, strengthen and encourage ourselves and one another for the exciting, yet challenging, times that lie ahead. At Unity Church of the Hills, we embody spiritual resilience by expressing a faith grounded in grit and courage. We nurture growth and transformation, allowing Spirit to lead us in Love, Acceptance and Service. We can. We do. We will.
