Dearest Congregant,

It’s been a minute since I’ve been in touch. I can’t believe June is coming to an end. The humidity chides me for having taken spring for granted, again.

You may have already learned that the in-person services are suspended for the time being. Plan on joining us for Sunday service from the comfort of your pajamas and slippers on the smart device of your choice. Continue recommended practices and we’ll look forward to seeing your lovely face as soon as safely possible!

Please join us in welcoming Rev. Ras (Robert A. Smith) to our home. He joins us from Mile Hi Church in Colorado. We are so thankful and blessed that he is coming to “stay a spell” while our Board continues the search for the right and perfect fit.

Also, this Sunday will be our fare thee well to Rev. Steve Bolen.  Rev. Steve has been a constant steady hand throughout. Always ready with a prayer and a thoughtful word. There aren’t enough words or pages to write down all the things he means to this beloved place. It’s hard to remember a time when dear Steve and Mary weren’t here laughing and shining light in every corner and love in every situation. Until we meet again, sweet soul.

Looking forward to what this next season has in store for us all. Cooler temps included (a girl can dream.)

Love and cool breezes,

Shawnda Birch
