Q&A with Volunteer of the Month – Laura Mcintyre

Q:           How long have you been a member of UCOH?

A:            I started attending Unity when Ron and Lenore were the Ministers and I remember attending Mary Bolen’s Path Class so guessing 15 years.

Q:           What Service Ministry Teams are you currently volunteering with?

A:            I help Liz with the Newcomer’s Table; I am Team Leader of the Counting Team and an Interim Board Member.

Q:           What Service Ministry Teams have you volunteered with in the past?

A:            I have been a greeter and opened doors for people and served as a Board Member.

Q:           What would you like to say about volunteering at UCOH?

A:            I think volunteering is really fun because I’ve met so many wonderful people and made new friends. It has definitely enhanced my experience of church and it’s nice to be able to give back to the church because it’s really enhanced my life.  This church needs volunteers, esp. in childcare and the Hospitality committee and so I think it meets a basic human need to helps others and make a difference.

Q:           Add anything you’d like to share about yourself or UCOH.

A:            I attended the Wednesday night ACIM group for years until the traffic got too crazy and then started going to the Saturday group. By the way, the Course in Miracles and the Spiritual principles I’ve learned at Unity, I’ve been able to keep my sanity in a crazy world and access peace and joy.  I also absolutely love music and Celebration’s songs just really give me a boost. I found most of them on Spotify and created a Spiritual play list that is awesome, and I can actually share the playlist, so just find me in Fellowship Hall and I’ll share it with you.  I’ve got some old Andrea Crouch and No Greater Love by Hezekiah Walker, and I’ll take you there by The Staple Singers.
