Takin’ It To the Streets, Music Team Fundraiser Concert: 5:30pm Sunday, September 8
Get ready to dance, sing and have a joyous occasion on Sunday, September 8, 2013 as Celebration delights us with Motown and Gospel! “Takin’ It to the Streets,” is this year’s Annual Music Ministry Fundraiser that not only supports the Music Ministry, but allows Celebration to attend the Agape International Spiritual Center’s Music Symposium in Los Angeles, and perform along with musical greats, such as Chaka Kahn, Earth, Wind and Fire, Rickie Byars-Beckwith and many others. “Takin’ it to the Streets,” this year’s theme, is about all of us taking our joy, love, forgiveness, acceptance, excitement…all of it…out into the world every day! This year’s concert is free to our wonderful UCOH family and friends so here are some of the ways you can help support our ever growing and inspirational music ministry.
Silent Auction
The Silent Auction is one of our primary fundraisers, so get ready to bid on some amazing items/services for yourself or as a gift for someone else! (Christmas is just around the corner!) The auction items will be displayed on Sunday, September 8th, and the final bid will be at the end of the intermission during the concert. Sponsorships
Sponsorships give members and friends of UCOH a more direct way to show love and appreciation for the hundreds of volunteer hours the members of Celebration give to the Church and community each year. Your generous gift will afford the members of Celebration a restorative trip to this year’s Agape Music Symposium in Los Angeles which allows them then to bring this transformed and uplifted energy back home to share with all of us. With airfare, ground transportation, accommodations, food and other miscellaneous expenses, the cost for each member of Celebration is $1000 to $1500. Since we are “Takin’ It To the Streets” this year, the sponsorship levels are:
- Lane – $100 to $249
- Road – $250 to $499
- Street – $500 to $999
- Avenue – $1000 to $1499
- Boulevard – $1500 to $4999
- Interstate Highway – $5000 & beyond
“A Night with Celebration Under the Stars”
This year, we will be selling a limited number of tickets for a night of fun, singing, and dancing in a more intimate setting, under the stars, at the beautiful home of one of our UCOH members. This special evening will be on Friday, September 27, and tickets will be $100 each. Attendees will even have the opportunity to sing Karaoke with your favorite Celebration singer. Love Offering
During the concert, we will receive an offering that will be in support of the Music Ministry. As much of the music will be Motown music, a portion of the offering will go to support one of our ministries in the Detroit area.
