Unity Church of the Hills Community,
For 2023, the Board of Trustees established a budget designed to break even with respect to income and expenses. Both the Staff and the Board have been carefully monitoring both income and expenses. Through the first four months of 2023, our income from gifts and tithes has been lower than budgeted, and we incurred unexpected expenses such as the ice storm cleanup, the fire panel, and the roof repairs. So, our income has been less than our expenses.
To continue our quality Sunday services and other programs, the Board has authorized the transfer of $50,000 from our reserves to our operating account, in other words from savings to checking. With Staff support, The Board will continue to monitor our expenses while we look for ways to attract more congregants and generate income in addition to gifts and tithes.
