How I Used Truth is a 5-week class is primarily for someone new to Unity and New Thought teachings. H. Emilie Cady was a New Thought leader in the late 19th and early 20th century. Cady’s books are a clear, concise representation of New Thought philosophy and metaphysical Christianity. She was a contemporary of Charles and Myrtle Fillmore, co-founders of Unity. Her works were often published in Unity magazines. In fact, her sentinel work, Lessons in Truth, is often referenced as one of the best guideposts for teaching Unity principles. Classes will consist of short lectures of the subject matter intermixed with conversation, discussion, small group activities and group presentations. Small doses of homework will help students ground their learning and prepare future Spiritual Education classes. Homework is optional, however learning will be richly enhanced by engaging in all activities. Bob Withrow, a Licensed Unity Teacher candidate will teach this class that starts on September 9 and concludes on October 7.
