This Sunday, my topic is “What Is Possible with God.” The inspiration comes from Luke 18, Verse 27. In the Lamsa version of the Bible, Jesus is quoted as saying “things impossible to men are possible to God.” Speaking with authority and true knowing, he encourages us to have faith and trust in God. Emblazoned in gold lettering on the loft wall of our Sanctuary is a similar quote from Matthew, “… with God all things are possible.”
We need these reminders as we read the headlines, also known as “prayer requests.” When we have prayed and envisioned and held fast to a more peaceful world, and still we see the dismay, the loss and the polarization of so many, we need to remember that, through it all, God is working and the universal power of Love will prevail. You and I have a role to play in this. Thank you for being willing to join with others to be that healing rain falling on a world in need.

In Peace and Love,
Rev. Steve
