This S.E.E. core class is an exploration of Unity’s oldest book, Lessons in Truth, first published in 1903, by H. Emilie Cady, homeopathic doctor and New Thought metaphysician. As Ernest Wilson put it, “Next to the Bible itself, Dr. Cady’s Lessons in Truth is Unity’s primary textbook.” Participants will seek to understand metaphysical concepts, including the choice of freedom, the Spirit within, thoughts as instruments, the tools of denial and affirmation, spiritual gifts, the secret place of the Most High, the Silence and expressing Oneness. An emphasis will be made on how to practice these ideas in one’s daily life, as this was always the intention of Unity’s pioneers. Participants will also experience the choice to make significant shifts in their consciousness.
Linda Holmes, Licensed Unity Teacher, is the instructor for this Spiritual Education and Enrichment (S.E.E.) class for Spiritual Development, which can be taken for credit by paying the S.E.E fee.
