In addition to today’s lessons, our Sunday School classes are decorating World Day of Prayer bookmarks for the World Day of Prayer Service.
We launch our curriculum for the new school year this Sunday. For details about the lessons covered in Sunday School classrooms, please refer to the bulletin board outside of the Youth Education Office. There are take home handouts available next to the bulletin board so that parents can review and reinforce the Sunday lessons at home.

Taco Sunday: It’s Raining Tacos on Sunday, September 6! Our Y.O.U. are selling an assortment of breakfast tacos in the Foyer after the 9:25 and 11:25 Services. All tacos are $3 each including gluten free varieties. Thank you for supporting our Y.O.U.

Real-Time Parenting Meet-up: The topic focus for the first two weeks of September is “Setting Limits.” Join Language of Listening and Love & Logic facilitators and other parents during the first two Sundays of every month for a solution-oriented discussion about the challenges and successes you are having with your children! Love offering. Complimentary childcare is available in Room 135.

Elementary Angels: Thank you to everyone who responded to the call for Youth Education volunteers! We have filled almost all openings. We are still looking for two more angels to help out in the 11:25 first and second grade class. Please talk to Linda Hancock in Room 140.

Paper Shredder Fundraiser is Scheduled! Mark your calendars!!! The Y.O.U.’s annual paper shredder fundraiser will be held on Saturday, October 10 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Balcones Shred will provide a shredding truck at the front entrance near the arch so that you can drive up, park in front of the truck, and watch them shred your documents while you wait! Bring your unwanted papers from work, home, taxes and anywhere else. They can also collect E*Waste (computers, hard drives, CD/DVD, etc.) They will destroy hard drives and disks at their shred facility. Cost is $5 per box or bag. Cash only please. All proceeds will benefit our Youth of Unity.
